"Make This Week Count: Step 3 - Set Your Intentions"

Updated: Nov 6, 2023

Hello to our wonderful global community, friends of The Tiny Tassel consulting firm in Botswana,

We're on an inspiring journey together to make this week truly count. We've already found our quiet space and reflected on our purpose. Now, it's time for Step 3: Set Your Intentions. This step is all about translating your purpose into actionable goals, making each day purposeful and fulfilling.

Why Set Your Intentions?

Intentions are like a roadmap for your week. They provide clarity and direction, ensuring that you stay focused on what truly matters to you. When you set your intentions, you're essentially giving yourself a plan for making the most of your time and energy.

Step 3: Setting Your Intentions

1. Clarify Your Goals: Based on your purpose and reflection, identify specific goals for the week. These could be related to your career, personal growth, relationships, or any other area of your life.

2. Be SMART: Ensure your intentions are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART). This makes your goals more actionable and trackable.

3. Prioritize: Not all intentions are created equal. Identify your top priorities for the week and focus on them. This helps you avoid feeling overwhelmed and ensures you allocate your resources wisely.

4. Write Them Down: The act of writing down your intentions reinforces your commitment to them. Keep them somewhere visible as a constant reminder.

5. Visualize Success: Take a moment to visualize yourself achieving your intentions. Feel the sense of accomplishment and fulfillment this success will bring.

6. Break It Down: If your intentions involve significant tasks, break them down into smaller, manageable steps. This makes them less daunting and more achievable.

Benefits of Setting Your Intentions

- Focus: Intentions keep you focused on what's most important to you.

- Motivation: Knowing your goals gives you the motivation to take action.

- Accountability: Written intentions hold you accountable to yourself.

- Progress Tracking: You can measure your progress and make adjustments as needed.

By setting your intentions, you're essentially giving your week a purpose. You're transforming your desires and dreams into actionable steps, taking you one step closer to your aspirations.

We encourage you to complete Step 3 and set your intentions for this week. You have the power to make each day meaningful and rewarding. Stay tuned for the next steps in our purpose-driven journey.

With intentions and enthusiasm,

Oabona, Ed.S/Educational Therapist
