Hello, dear friends of The Tiny Tassel consulting firm in Botswana and our cherished global community,
(Note: If you have not yet read our previous blogs in this series, we urge you to do so before immersing yourself into this one as this one also builds on our previous discussions. In fact, why not read, rate and share them all and join The Tiny Tassel Community!)
So, now that you have identified your quiet place, as you’ve learned in Step 1, let’s embark together on Step 2: Reflecting on Your Purpose. In our journey to make this week truly count, we've already taken the vital first step of finding our quiet space. Now, it's time for Step 2: Reflect on Your Purpose. This step is all about connecting with what truly matters to you and setting the compass for the week ahead.
Why Reflect on Your Purpose?
Your purpose is like the North Star, guiding you through the twists and turns of life. It's the driving force behind your actions, the source of your motivation, and the reason you get out of bed each morning. Reflecting on your purpose is crucial because it keeps you aligned with your core values, ensuring that your actions are meaningful and fulfilling. (No, core values? Let’s chat about that offline.)
Step 2: Reflecting on Your Purpose
1. Create a Journaling Ritual:
Set aside some time in your quiet space for journaling. Writing down your thoughts can be an incredibly powerful way to reflect on your purpose.
2. Ask Yourself Meaningful Questions:
- What do I feel passionate about?
- What are the values that guide my life?
- What brings me joy and fulfilllment?
- How can I make a positive impact on the world?
3. Look Back and Connect the Dots:
Reflect on past experiences and decisions. Can you identify common themes or values that have consistently driven your choices?
4. Visualize Your Ideal Life:
Close your eyes and imagine a life where you're living in complete alignment with your purpose. What does it look like? How does it feel?
5. Take a Walk in Nature:
Sometimes, nature's beauty can inspire deep reflection. Take a mindful walk in a park or forest, and let the tranquility of nature help you reconnect with your purpose.
Benefits of Reflecting on Your Purpose:
- Clarity: A clear understanding of your purpose helps you make decisions that align with your values and goals.
- Motivation: Knowing your purpose fuels your motivation to take meaningful action.
- Resilience: During challenging times, your purpose can be a source of strength and resilience.
- Direction: Your purpose provides direction, preventing you from feeling lost or aimless.
Remember, your purpose is personal and unique to you. There's no right or wrong way to define it. What matters is that it resonates deeply with your heart and soul.
As you complete Step 2, and reflect on your purpose, you're setting the foundation for an inspired and purpose-driven week. It's like tuning in to your inner compass and ensuring you're headed in the right direction.
Stay tuned for the next steps in our journey to make this week count. Your purpose is your North Star; let it guide you to a week filled with intention and impact.
With reflection and purpose,
