"Make This Week Count: Step 1 - Finding Your Your Quiet Space"

Updated: Nov 6, 2023

Hello, dear friends of The Tiny Tassel consulting firm in Botswana and our cherished global community,

Have you read our 8 Oct 2023 blog?

  • Yes

  • No

(Note: If you have not yet read our previous blog of 8 October 2023, you may want to do so before immersing yourself into this one as it builds on what we discussed last week. In fact, why not read, rate and share them all!)

In our fast-paced lives, finding a moment of peace and quiet can be a precious gift. This week, we're embarking on a journey to make everyday count, starting with Step 1: Finding Your Quiet Space.

Why is Finding Your Quiet Space Important?

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's easy to lose sight of our goals and purposes. Our minds are often cluttered with distractions, leaving little room for reflection, intention-setting, and personal growth. That's why we need to consciously seek out a quiet space, both physically and mentally.

Where Can You Find Your Quiet Space?

1. Nature's Embrace: A serene park, a quiet beach, or a tranquil garden can be a perfect backdrop for your moments of introspection. The beauty of nature often inspires clarity.

2. Your Cozy Corner: Create a comfortable nook at home, complete with soft cushions, soothing colors, and maybe even some inspirational décor. It's a place where you can retreat whenever you need to find your center.

3. Mindfulness Meditation: Consider incorporating mindfulness meditation into your routine. It can help you find your quiet space wherever you are, even in the midst of a bustling city.

4. Early Mornings or Late Nights: Some find their quiet space in the peaceful hours of early mornings or late nights. The world is hushed, and your thoughts can flow freely.

How to Find Your Quiet Space

1. Schedule It: Block out time for your quiet space in your weekly calendar. Treat it with the same importance as any other appointment.

2. Disconnect: Turn off your devices or put them on silent. Let this time be about you and your thoughts.

3. Breathe Deeply: Take several deep breaths to calm your mind. Focus on the sensation of each breath and let go of any tension.

4. Be Present: In your chosen quiet space, be fully present. Appreciate the stillness, the beauty, or the simplicity of the moment.

What to Do in Your Quiet Space

In this peaceful environment, you can:

- Reflect on Your Purpose: Consider what truly matters to you and what drives you.

- Set Your Intentions: Decide on the actions you want to take this week, aligned with your purpose.

- Visualize Success: Picture yourself accomplishing those purpose-driven goals and feeling the satisfaction it brings.

Finding your quiet space is the crucial first step in making this week count. It's in these tranquil moments that you can truly connect with yourself and set the stage for meaningful actions.

So, before the rush of the week takes over, find your quiet space, and let it guide you toward your purpose. Together, we can make this week truly count.

Stay tuned for the next steps in our purpose-driven journey!

With tranquillity and intention,
